Wound Care Strategies' Cathy Thomas Hess newly appointed Clinical Consultant for Advances in Skin and Wound Care.
HARRISBURG, PENNSYLVANIA - The July/August 2000 issue, Volume 13 Number 4, of Advances in Skin and Wound Care published by Springhouse Corporation announced their "New Clinical Consultant" in the Editorial section by Richard "Sal" Salcido, MD.
"One editorial board change I am pleased to announce now is the appointment of Cathy Thomas Hess, BSN, RN, CWOCN, as Clinical Consultant for Advances in Skin and Wound Care. Ms Hess had been an Associate Editor of the journal for the past 2 years. She will continue to be the Department Editor for the journal's InfoLink section.
Ms Hess is well known and respected for her clinical expertise in skin and wound care. The founder of Wound Care Strategies, a Harrisburg, PA-based consulting company, she has more than 15 years of experience in providing skin and wound care assessments, intervention strategies, and educational pathways for practitioners and patients in a variety of settings. She has authored numerous articles on skin and wound care, as well as the third edition of Clinical Guide to Wound Care, published by Springhouse Corporation.
In her new role with the journal, Ms Hess will bring her expertise to the development of clinical management features and departments. In addition, she will continue to share her interest in products for topical skin and wound management through the journal's Product Points Department."
